I’m so excited to finally share this blog with you—it’s been a long time coming. If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Shaunt’e Lewis, an artist, entrepreneur, and creative spirit, and I’m here to share my journey with you in hopes that it sparks something in you, too.
Why this blog?
The idea for this blog came from my own journey of becoming a full-time artist. It hasn’t always been easy (trust me), but every step I’ve taken has been a learning experience—one that’s taught me not only how to build a successful creative business but also how to balance it all as a mother of four and a person with dreams.
Over the years, I’ve received a lot of questions: How did you start your art business? How do you stay motivated? What advice would you give to someone starting out? This blog is where I’ll answer all of those questions and more.
Where it all began
When I first decided to step fully into the art world, I had no idea what I was doing. I was running two salons, raising my kids, and trying to figure out how to make time for my art. It felt like an impossible dream. But deep down, I knew I wanted something more—a creative career that would allow me to express myself, uplift others, and build a business that was truly mine.
Fast forward to now: I’ve been featured on the cover of the New York Times art section, I’ve worked with amazing brands like West Elm and Meijer, and I’ve built a six-figure art business doing what I love. None of this happened overnight, and there were many challenges along the way, but every step has led me to this moment.
